After 18-month walkabout, veteran Bay Area Bernstein Private Wealth exec comes 'home'
- Eagan returns to AllianceBernstein after a brief stint at Hirtle Callaghan & Co.
- Bernstein Private Wealth welcomes Eagan back to lead its San Francisco office.
- Grayson promoted to national director of family offices at Bernstein Private Wealth.
Daniel Eagan returned to the $9-billion-AUM wealth management unit of AllianceBernstein LP to take up where he left off after a year and a half of sampling the hue of the flora on the other side of the fence at a rival wealth manager.
Arriving at Bernstein Private Wealth Management in 2001, Eagan progressed up the executive ladder, holding several positions including head of the private client practice in the Pacific Northwest. In 2004, he became SVP and managing director of the unit's private wealth practice in San Francisco.
But In late 2017, after 16 years with AllianceBernstein, Eagan accepted an offer from Hirtle Callaghan & Co. to become director of the portfolio management group. Hirtle, with headquarters in West Conshohocken, Pa., has about $22 billion of AUM. See: An $18-billion RIA tacks on a $24-billion U.S. Trust cast-off as the grab for UHNW magnets continues.

Now, he's back.
"I’m excited to be back at AllianceBernstein after spending nearly 20 years with the firm," Eagan says in an email.
