Ascensus Inc., the largest independent retirement plan and college savings services provider, has appointed Carolyn Fraser as vice president of relationship management.
Before joining Dresher, Pa.-based Ascensus, Fraser spent 16 years at The Vanguard Group where she served in various leadership roles in client administration and relationship management. In 2011, Vanguard debuted a bundled 401(k) plan service for small companies featuring low-cost investment options, and which used Ascensus as its recordkeeper and administrator of retirement plans. It was designed for 401(k) and profit-sharing plans with assets below $20 million. In her new job, Fraser will develop business strategies and partner with institutional clients to help them achieve their objectives by focusing on product enhancements, sales, and service delivery to drive organic growth.
“We are committed to the needs of our institutional partners and their clients. With her broad understanding of retirement services and her proven background in building relationships, she will be both an advocate and consultant for these key partners," says Kathleen Connelly, Ascensus’ executive vice president of client experience and relationship management, in a statement.
Previous to working for Vanguard, Fraser spent four years as an actuarial analyst for William M. Mercer and Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Inc. She holds her FINRA Series 6 and NASAA Series 63 designations.
