Guess who's moving into the RIA neighborhood? State Farm asks thousands of insurance brokers to get financial planning credentials, sources say

Statefarm Insurence are nothing but a bunch of rippoffs. its sad you have file claim on your policy, then instead of paying with other moneys they nake theor customers use tbeir 10, 000 policy mold benifits. then you pay rest of your life for filing a claim, we been with them 30 years and they crooked us so bad it was so unbelievable. then raise our insurence up to 1,767 year. hello what is wrog with this picture. then my house payment went from 900 to 1483 thanks to Andy Thomas of our agency. he nade us really pay. we been with him 30 years with him and state farm. then finally had to leave and get our honeowners gor 1,000 , someone better check this man and that group cauae we never had any dui's perfect driving record, no kind tickets me nor ny husband 62 my age 61 his age. in asking you all to check this stupid idiot out amd his little group. they all are very unprofessional. i know he was pockiting money cause he was getting ours. statefarm we wikl never be bavk 30 years to lobg for us. oh then he call you get you back cheap then aftwr couple weeks he tuened up the bill. im paying 30 dollars nore for our vehicles. but guess what We will cause we got away from this crook and crooked statefarm, i was gladly pay more to good company then a trashy man and company. we were cheated on our claims so bad it aint funny. use our own mold olicy then still get raised so high. we were cheated so bad. you folks going end up in court by somebody. this needs be checked into. my own mortgage company called told us to drop statefarm. it went up 200 in three months. we got proof of this. and im going to use it. got punished so bad and we senors. bunch crooks not all just that one place. even payed for towing i called gave me that young guy and he hung up phone just because I told him that he was wrong I paid for it 30 years. all my words of what they did is documented or recored, so State farn I got that pkace and you all by the balls on tbis one. and you lucky if I dont take you to court on some of this matter. your best bet get rid of Andy Thomas. before I take him couet. cause if i do i garentee i personally will win. i got every tthing by him word by word fron bunch idiots call staff. What does "get financial planning credentials" mean? They could get the CFP because we know the board will let them sell stuff with some exemption. I'll bet though, that only 20 percent of those agents could pass the CFP exam. Soooo, which easy, watered down qualification will they get?

In response to Chrisopher Paul Van Slyke, I was told during my Ken Zahn prep class that State Farm agents could not hold the CFP as their fiduciary obligation was to the agency not the client. This is strictly anecdotal and I have not attempted to confirm but it makes sense. He also said it was State Farm that would not allow. Perhaps this is why we see many of those agents with the ChFC designation instead.
