Hillary Sunderland

As new chief investment officer for Beacon Wealth Consultants Inc., CFA Hillary Sunderland will take over portfolio management duties for its Lightpoint Portfolio and assume leadership of the firm’s Investment Committee.

Beacon is a "biblically responsible" RIA based in Roanoke, Va. with $82 million-plus of AUM. BWC describes itself as a fee-only registered investment advisory firm designed to serve the unique wealth management needs of affluent Christian families, trusts and organizations.

Before joining Beacon in August, Sunderland founded and was CIO of State College, Pa.-based 21:5 National Network. The name comes from the Revelations verse: "He who was seated on the throne said, 'I am making everything new!' Then he said, 'Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.'”

Previous to that, Sunderland was CIO of RIA Vicus Capital, also in the State College area, an RIA with nearly $1.2 billion in managed assets.
