Independent Advisor Group hires ex-Gladstone managing director
Carla McCabe has joined Independent Advisor Group LLC in the newly created position of director of succession planning & practice management.
Formerly a managing director with Gladstone Associates LLC, McCabe will now focus on identifying smaller practices -- those with under $400 million of AUM. Her primary responsibilities are to lead the corporate focus on providing comprehensive succession planning and recruit advisors to the IAG/LPL Financial platform.
The position was created in response to industry-generated opportunities (i.e., the increased interest in mergers and acquisitions due to the industry collapsing up), according to Horsham, Pa.-based IAG.
McCabe brings more than twelve years of industry experience to IAG, including practice valuation, succession planning, and M&A advisory.
As a full-service OSJ, IAG offers a package of additional services such as training, succession planning, and access to financial institution programs.
Thanks, Kristen. I have a call in to Barron’s to try to get much more information about the future criteria and the rationale for the existing system. Does anyone know exactly how much work it is to the application?
The basic application process is not that bad. The entry of data for most would take a few hours max. After everything is run through compliance the entire process is usually complete within a day or two.
So how does the nomination work. What is the check on an advisor just making up #s? Does his/her firm’s compliance department have to sign off on his/her application to barron’s? Are there any advisors that are unhappy with this process? Is the data always accurate?
This may conceivably be the beginning of a larger war between the two giants, involving not only eBooks, but also songs, movies and all the other miscellaneous applications that have appear for being associate along with the iPhone and, no doubt, the iPad.
It doesn’t surprise me to see an increase in applications. Getting your name on the Barron’s Top 100 List is worth the time it takes to complete the nomination process. It is the best kind of marketing – free and adds credibility. I had a client earlier this month tell me they wanted to apply next year, so I have a feeling that number is going to keep increasing in the next few years.
To have the most from the new generation of MacBook Execs, youl need to have to move nearly the bigger measurements, which make the most in the i5 and i7 processors and their individual graphics enhancements. Nonetheless, at four.5 pounds and fewer than 9 inches deep, thje 13-inch MacBook Pro will be the most moveable Pro model obtainable, and for lots of people the tiny weight and dimensions make up for that rather limited (comparatively) performance.
